The Social Security numbers and other confidential details of over 200 former congressional staffers and others were publicly exposed on Tuesday in unredacted records connected to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, according to an analysis by The Washington Post.

“This is absolutely unacceptable. It’s careless and unprofessional,” said former Trump campaign attorney Joseph diGenova, 80, whose private data was included in the leak.

“This isn’t just about identity theft—I’ve received threats before,” added diGenova, a well-known figure in Republican legal circles who has strongly supported President Donald Trump and frequently criticized Trump’s opponents on television. “I’ve had to report serious threats to the FBI in the past. There are dangerous people out there.”

Over 60,000 pages tied to Kennedy’s 1963 assassination were released this week by the Trump administration. Some of these documents had been disclosed previously but contained redactions. While many of those redactions were removed, not all were eliminated. The documents were uploaded to the National Archives website under the heading “JFK Assassination Records — 2025 Documents Release.”

Upon reviewing these materials, The Post discovered the Social Security numbers, birthplaces, and birth dates of over 100 members of the Senate Church Committee, which was formed in 1975 to investigate misconduct by U.S. intelligence agencies. Additionally, The Post identified more than 100 Social Security numbers belonging to staffers of the House Select Committee on Assassinations, which examined Kennedy’s killing. Many of the affected individuals are still alive. The Department of Justice declined to comment on Wednesday night, while the National Archives did not respond to a request for clarification.

Legal experts say the exposure of such information raises concerns under the Privacy Act of 1974.

“A Social Security number is essentially the key to a person’s entire identity,” said Mary Ellen Callahan, former chief privacy officer at the Department of Homeland Security. “This is a clear violation of privacy laws.”

Several individuals whose personal data was compromised went on to hold high-ranking positions in Washington, including a former assistant secretary of state, a former U.S. ambassador, intelligence analysts, State Department employees, and prominent attorneys.

When announcing the document release on Tuesday, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence stated that approximately 80,000 pages were “previously classified records that will now be made available without redactions.”

“It’s shocking that our personal information has been exposed like this. Someone made a serious mistake,” said Loch Johnson, a retired intelligence specialist and professor emeritus at the University of Georgia. “I just hope they were more careful with covert operatives in these files.”

Mark Zaid, a national security lawyer who advocated for the public release of JFK documents, called the exposure of private details “extremely irresponsible.”

“In many of these documents, the only thing that was being withheld for the past two decades was someone’s Social Security number,” Zaid explained. “This creates a major security risk for these individuals, who could now be victims of doxxing.”

DiGenova said he was unaware that his name, Social Security number, and birth details were included in the JFK files until a reporter from The Post contacted him while he was grocery shopping.

“It makes sense that my name appears, given my work in the 1970s investigating intelligence abuses,” he said. “But revealing private details like this—it's security 101 to redact such things.”

“That period was an extraordinary time,” diGenova recalled. “One of our team’s lawyers tracked down the girlfriend of a mafia figure rumored to be romantically involved with JFK. He found her in Nevada or Arizona but got chased away by her husband. We also examined plots to assassinate Castro and the role of CIA assets. It was incredible work.”

DiGenova argued that the government should cover protection costs for those affected, similar to how corporations compensate customers after data breaches.

At its height, the Church Committee employed around 150 staff members. According to Senate records, the committee conducted 126 hearings, interviewed more than 800 witnesses, and reviewed 110,000 documents. Their investigations uncovered misconduct by several federal agencies, including the CIA, FBI, IRS, and NSA.

In the unredacted files, former Church Committee employees’ names and sensitive information appear neatly typed in columns, indicating which individuals were granted “access to classified materials up to and including TOP SECRET.”

“This was post-Watergate and Nixon,” said a former Senate staffer who requested anonymity to avoid becoming a target of identity fraud. “The whole point was to reveal secret and illegal activities.”

That former staffer, who later worked at the State Department, expressed outrage over the risks of financial fraud and identity theft. “It’s infuriating to know that this administration is handling such sensitive materials with zero regard for the people affected,” she said.

Three other former Church Committee members said that after learning from The Post about the exposure of their Social Security numbers, they had contacted their banks to freeze accounts and monitor transactions. One individual was considering legal action against the National Archives.

“It feels like the damage is done, but we need to consult some attorneys,” one of them remarked.

Christopher Pyle, a former Army officer who exposed military intelligence abuses, testified before Congress and later landed on Nixon’s infamous “enemies list.” Pyle only learned about the breach when a Post journalist reached him by phone on Wednesday.

“I’m stunned that my information was included in the release,” he said. “Good Lord, government incompetence at its finest.”

Pyle expressed concern over the consequences for those who fought in the 1970s to expose government wrongdoing. “Why did they even have this information on the Church Committee?” he asked. “I’d love to know that.”

After filing for divorce and leaving with her lover, Quan Xiao-Tue never expected that the man would betray her. He had already moved in with a new girlfriend and was looking for a way to get rid of her.

On the morning of October 20, 2015, fishermen in La Jiang County, Deyang City, Sichuan Province, accidentally discovered the dismembered body of a woman in the Huangshui River. The victim was missing her head and limbs.

After analysis, the police believed that the perpetrator was likely someone who knew the victim, and the body was dismembered to conceal her identity. However, the water had washed away most traces of evidence.

Forensic experts estimated the victim to be around 35 years old, having died from asphyxiation two days earlier. The precise cuts suggested that the suspect had skills related to butchery.

The location where the body was found was not the crime scene. While searching for clues, investigators discovered a bloodstained sack along with torn medical documents. The records came from La Jiang County People's Hospital and belonged to a patient named Liu Min. However, upon investigation, all women named Liu Min in the area were alive.

Identifying the victim proved difficult, but on October 25, 2015, a breakthrough came with a detailed forensic report. The medical examiner found traces of male DNA on the victim’s body. When cross-referenced with the database, it matched a man named Liu Kai, who had a prior record for disorderly conduct.

Police investigated and discovered that Kai had reported his wife missing on October 19. The missing woman was Quan Xiao-Tue, a 35-year-old waitress at a hotpot restaurant.

Further inquiries revealed that Xiao-Tue and Kai’s marriage had been struggling. Authorities found a farewell letter supposedly written by Xiao-Tue, but the handwriting did not match hers. When questioned, Kai mentioned another man—Yang Kun, a colleague of Xiao-Tue.

Police suspected that jealousy could have been a motive and continued their investigation. They discovered that on the afternoon of October 18, Xiao-Tue used the restaurant’s landline to call Kun before disappearing.

Kun, a chef, frequently handled knives. Surveillance footage revealed that on the night of October 18, he rode his motorcycle to the area near where the body was found. During questioning, he appeared nervous but denied involvement. However, police discovered traces of Xiao-Tue’s blood in his bathroom.

Cornered by evidence, Kun confessed to the crime.

Xiao-Tue had wanted a divorce to be with Kun, but he had tried to cut ties with her. On the afternoon of October 18, she visited his home and discovered evidence of another woman, realizing she had been deceived. She demanded 40,000 yuan in exchange for her silence.

Kun, unable to meet her demand, acted out in rage and strangled Xiao-Tue. To cover up the crime, he dismembered her body and dumped the remains in the river.

On October 29, 2015, following Kun’s confession, police recovered Xiao-Tue’s missing head and limbs.

On November 15, 2016, the court sentenced Yang Kun to death for murder.

Kyle Clifford refused to accept the breakup and desperately tried to hold on by bombarding Louise Hunt with messages. When his attempts failed, he devised a revenge plan targeting her entire family.

The 18-month relationship between 25-year-old Louise and 26-year-old former security guard Kyle ended on June 26, 2024.

Louise messaged Kyle: "I feel like our relationship has broken down, and I can't ignore my feelings or what I've noticed over the past year."

A few days earlier, they had attended a wedding, which became the "catalyst" for the breakup. Kyle made degrading comments about Louise and insinuated he had slept with some of the guests.

On June 23, 2024, after returning from the wedding, Louise told Kyle she was exhausted by their relationship. "We need to talk," she said, prompting an angry reaction from Kyle.

They met on June 24 for a walk while Louise's sister, 28-year-old Hannah Hunt, waited nearby. Hannah texted her boyfriend, saying Kyle had started crying, leaving Louise confused. After considering things for a few days, Louise sent a breakup message. Kyle replied, "Thanks for the clarity so we can both begin the healing process."

Family and friends supported Louise's decision, believing she should have left earlier. A friend recalled Louise confiding in them about Kyle's aggressive, rude behavior and offensive comments about women. Hannah described him as "disrespectful, arrogant, and crude."

Kyle had also been secretly involved with two other women behind Louise's back, one of whom he continued seeing while trying to reconcile with Louise.

After the breakup, Kyle continued sending messages, but Louise ignored them.

Louise wrote a note on her phone titled "When You're Sad, Read This," listing reasons for the breakup, including Kyle's racist and derogatory language.

"I Can’t Live Without Her"

Kyle became furious when Louise refused to take him back. As his resentment toward her and her family grew, he meticulously planned his attack.

Surveillance footage showed him gathering supplies over two weeks.

On June 28, 2024, he was seen at a shop in Enfield, London, purchasing a 30-meter rope for £14.75. On June 30, he searched online for crossbows and bought one with six arrows for £357 on July 1. He also contacted his brother Bradley, who was serving a life sentence for murder, asking about acquiring weapons.

On July 4, Kyle bought duct tape and gasoline to destroy evidence. Two days later, he spent £89 on a high-quality meat cleaver. He also attempted to order an air rifle, but it hadn’t arrived by the time of the attack.

Kyle then wrote a note to his family, saying he "didn't want to live without her."

Terrifying Screams

At 1:40 PM on July 9, 2024, Kyle parked near Louise's house in Bushey, Hertfordshire, checking for cars outside.

He searched for horse racing events to determine if Louise’s father, John Hunt—a Sky Sports and BBC Radio 5 Live commentator—was home.

At 2:32 PM, Kyle rang the doorbell, carrying a knife in his backpack. He lied to Louise’s mother, 61-year-old Carol Hunt, saying he wanted to return some belongings. When she let him in, he attacked her despite her desperate screams.

Doorbell camera footage recorded the confrontation and sounds from inside the house.

Kyle moved Carol’s body to another room, covering it with blankets. At 3:07 PM, he returned to his car to retrieve the crossbow, concealing it under a blanket. Meanwhile, Louise was working at a dog grooming salon in the back of the house. Customers entered through a side gate.

Kyle waited until Louise came inside at 4:11 PM. Soon after, faint screams were heard. The footage captured piercing shrieks, a man shouting, and loud banging noises until 4:26 PM.

Kyle restrained Louise, tying her wrists and ankles and gagging her with duct tape. At some point, he allegedly raped her.

At 5:31 PM, he went to the outbuilding to take Louise’s phone, checking her recent contacts and Instagram activity. At 5:52 PM, he impersonated Louise, texting John to ask when he would be home. He also searched online for "Does unplugging a smoke detector fully disable it?" With two empty gasoline cans in his car, he was allegedly planning to set the house on fire.

Kyle left through the back garden at 6:20 PM and returned at 6:50 PM, drawing the curtains. The doorbell camera then recorded a loud whizzing sound. Prosecutors stated, "That was the crossbow firing into Louise’s back."

Moments later, Hannah entered the house, calling out for their mother. When she got no response, she shouted, "What the hell, Kyle? What’s wrong with you?" At 6:52 PM, she texted her boyfriend, Alex Klein, urging him to call the police, before Kyle silenced her phone.

Two minutes later, another whizzing sound was heard—Kyle had shot Hannah with the crossbow before wrapping it in a blanket and fleeing.

Audio recordings captured Hannah discovering her mother and sister’s bodies at 6:57 PM. She screamed, "Mom! Louise! Oh God, no!" Despite her severe injuries, Hannah used Carol’s phone to call 999 at 6:57 PM, reporting that Kyle had attacked them.

Armed police arrived at 7:10 PM with paramedics. Hannah was found collapsed at the entrance, barely alive, but resuscitation efforts failed. Louise was found bound next to her mother’s body.

"An Utter Coward"

Police issued a public alert, warning that Kyle was armed and dangerous.

After fleeing, Kyle drove toward his home but stopped at a cemetery near Enfield at 7:32 PM. He tied a noose to a tree branch, but both the rope and branch were too weak for a hanging attempt.

After a 22-hour manhunt, police found him at the cemetery at 6 PM on July 10. As armed officers and police dogs closed in, Kyle shot himself in the chest with the crossbow, causing paralysis from the waist down.

Kyle was arrested on the evening of July 11 for three counts of murder but remained in the hospital, unable to be interrogated due to his injuries. On September 17, additional charges of false imprisonment, rape, and two counts of possessing an offensive weapon were filed against him.

During his first police interview on September 16, 2024, Kyle said, "I'm sorry. What I did was cruel." Police released footage showing him sobbing in a wheelchair when asked about his note to his family. Officers noted that Kyle only displayed emotions when discussing himself, failing to acknowledge the suffering of his victims and others.

Kyle’s admiration for controversial influencer Andrew Tate—known for misogynistic remarks—was one of the key reasons Louise ended the relationship. She was deeply disturbed when Kyle played a video of Tate harming an animal while laughing with friends.

Investigators found multiple Tate videos on Kyle’s phone after the attack. He had watched some just hours before the murders, possibly influenced by "violent misogynistic rhetoric" from toxic influencers, according to police.

At his December 19, 2024 trial, Kyle initially pleaded not guilty.

On January 22, 2025, he admitted to three counts of murder, false imprisonment, and possessing offensive weapons but denied raping Louise.

Forensic evidence indicated sexual assault, but his defense claimed the couple had consensual sex on June 23, 2024. Prosecutors dismissed this as absurd since Louise had already decided to end the relationship.

Kyle was convicted of rape. The judge described him as "a jealous, self-pitying man with utter contempt for women."

On March 11, he was sentenced to life without parole. He refused to attend both his trial and sentencing, which was deemed "an act of absolute cowardice."

Following the case, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer called the murders "horrific" and pledged to review crossbow laws to prevent similar attacks.

In mid-March 2025, a rare weather phenomenon occurred on Mount Tà Xùa in Bản Công commune, Trạm Tấu district, Yên Bái province, Vietnam, as frost appeared, covering trees and grasslands.
Frost appeared on the summit of Tà Xùa in Yên Bái, Vietnam, in mid-March.

The frost began forming on the night of March 18 on Mount Tà Xùa, which stands over 2,800 meters above sea level, and persisted until the morning of March 19. The outdoor temperature dropped to 0°C, creating conditions for frost to blanket branches and grasslands, resulting in a characteristic winter landscape.

Mr. Đào Viết Nghiêm, Chairman of the Bản Công Commune People's Committee, stated that annually, Tà Xùa typically experiences frost during the main winter months, such as December and January, or at most in February. This is the first time residents have witnessed frost forming in March, surprising and delighting many.

The cause of this phenomenon is attributed to the northern region being affected by a reinforcing cold air mass. On the morning of March 19, the lowest temperatures were recorded in Sa Pa (Lào Cai) and Pha Đin (Điện Biên) at 5°C; Sìn Hồ (Lai Châu) and Đồng Văn (Hà Giang) at 6°C; Mù Cang Chải (Yên Bái) nearly 10°C; and Hanoi 16°C. According to the rule, for every 100 meters increase in altitude, the temperature decreases by approximately 0.6°C, explaining the freezing temperatures at the summit of Tà Xùa.

This is the second time in 2025 that frost has appeared on Mount Tà Xùa. Previously, this phenomenon was recorded on January 11.

The occurrence of frost at this time not only creates a unique landscape but also attracts the attention of many nature enthusiasts and tourists seeking to experience this special weather phenomenon. However, residents and visitors should be mindful of the harsh weather conditions to ensure safety when visiting this area.

Illinois Democrat state representative Bob Morgan claimed that middle school girls who alleged they were forced to change in a locker room with a transgender student were not telling the truth about the incident.

The issue was raised during an Illinois General Assembly session on Tuesday after Deerfield resident Nicole Georgas filed a federal civil rights complaint. Georgas had previously exposed the allegations during a school board meeting last week.

Morgan, who represents Deerfield, responded when Republican state representative Adam Neimerg brought up Georgas' claims. In his statement, Morgan criticized Neimerg for even discussing the matter while commending the way the community and schools handled the situation. He called the claims "a lie."

"I'm incredibly proud of my community, which stood up to protect those who need support, ensuring that we have outstanding schools—because we do, by the way—alongside amazing families and a strong, united neighborhood addressing this issue. Because it's false!" Morgan declared.

"So next time a representative wants to bring up other districts, I get that he may feel embarrassed—and, honestly, he probably should—but instead of standing here wasting our time on this, maybe focus on issues in your own district first."

Morgan’s remarks prompted a strong response from Georgas on X.

"Really, [Rep. Morgan?] Was your daughter in that locker room? Because mine was! How dare you accuse them of lying? You are disgusting [and] despicable, and I hope one day I get to play the audio for you!" Georgas wrote.

According to her complaint filed with the Justice Department, Georgas accused school officials of trying to force her 13-year-old daughter to change clothes in front of a transgender student in the girls’ locker room last month. She revealed the complaint during a Board of Education meeting for Deerfield Public School District 109, claiming her daughter had refused to change into her gym uniform because a biological male was present.

"The girls want their locker rooms and bathrooms back. They want privacy. That’s why I’m here tonight. My 13-year-old daughter's well-being, mental health, and personal space are at risk," Georgas stated during Thursday’s board meeting.

She further explained that her daughter was "frightened" and "very upset" on February 5 when she saw a transgender student using the girls’ bathroom at the same time.

"When she questioned it, administrators told her that the student was allowed to use the girls' bathroom and locker room because they now identify as female," Georgas said.

The situation escalated when her daughter and classmates continued refusing to change for gym class due to the transgender student's presence. According to Georgas, school officials later intervened and insisted the girls change into their uniforms.

"Joanna Ford, [Assistant Principal] Cathy Van Treese, and multiple teachers entered the girls’ locker room and told them to change. This continued all week," Georgas claimed, adding that her daughter still "refused to comply."

She then took her concerns to the school administration, arguing that the policy violated former President Donald Trump’s "Keeping Men out of Women's Sports" executive order. However, she was informed that legal counsel had advised the district that the student had the right to use both the girls’ bathroom and locker room.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Deerfield Public Schools District 109 insisted that no student is forced to change in front of others and that school policies align with state law.

"District 109 is dedicated to fostering a learning environment where all students and staff are treated with dignity and respect. Our policies and procedures, including locker room usage, comply with Illinois state law, the Illinois School Code, and guidance from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). No student is required to change in front of peers during physical education. Every middle school student has the option to change in a private area if they prefer," the school’s statement read.

Insomnia is a nightmare when you toss and turn in bed, staring at the ceiling while time slips away. Instead of dwelling on your inability to sleep, focus on changing your daily habits to reset your natural body clock. Try these 8 suggestions!

1. Maintain a Consistent Wake-Up Time: Wake up at the same time every day, even on weekends. This helps regulate your circadian rhythm, ensuring you fall asleep naturally and enjoy better sleep quality.
8 Habits to Say Goodbye to Sleepless Nights

2. Start Your Day with Morning Sunlight: Getting morning sunlight is the best way to recharge your energy for the day. Avoid lingering in bed to make up for lost sleep, as this disrupts your natural sleep cycle and makes it harder to fall asleep at night.
3. Give Your Brain Some "Poetic" Moments: Don’t overload your brain all day long—take real breaks. Go for a walk without using your phone, read a book, or relax in dim lighting. When your mind isn't overstimulated, you’ll find it easier to drift into sleep.
4. Differentiate Between Day and Night: Many people spend the entire day in enclosed rooms and are exposed to blue light from screens at night. This makes it harder for the body to distinguish between day and night. Move around frequently during the day, get natural light exposure, and limit blue light before bedtime.
5. Resolve Negative Emotions Before Bedtime : Negative emotions are a major reason for restlessness. If something is bothering you, write it down, practice deep breathing, or listen to soft music to relax your mind.
6. Don’t Force Yourself to Sleep: The more you try to sleep, the more awake you’ll feel. If you can’t sleep after 20 minutes, get out of bed and do something calming, like reading or listening to relaxing music, then return to bed when you feel drowsy.
7. Create a Relaxing Bedtime Routine: Establish a nightly relaxation routine to signal your body that it's time to rest. This could include drinking warm herbal tea, taking a hot shower, doing some light stretches, or listening to soft music. A consistent pre-sleep ritual will help you fall asleep more easily.
8. Watch a Lighthearted Movie or Show to Relax Your Eyes: Watching a gentle movie or a favorite show in dim lighting can help tire your eyes and make you feel sleepy. However, avoid intense content or excessive screen brightness, as this can stimulate your brain and keep you awake.

In a recent development, Senator Lindsey Graham from South Carolina has issued a warning that former President Donald Trump could face the risk of defeat in the 2024 election if he continues to overly focus on the 2020 election. Graham, a prominent supporter of Trump, conveyed this viewpoint in an interview on ABC's "This Week."

According to Graham, putting too much emphasis on the previous election might diminish Trump's chances of winning in the upcoming one. He suggests that Trump should look forward and concentrate on issues such as improving security and prosperity for Americans to garner support.

While Graham has accepted the results of the 2020 election and expressed concerns about 2024, he also did not shy away from acknowledging the perceived political bias in the decision of the Colorado Supreme Court, which he views as a politically motivated determination.

Graham's perspective is not only a cautionary note but also a critique of the Colorado Supreme Court's decision to bar Trump from appearing on the Republican primary ballot in Colorado in 2024. He believes that this situation could lead to significant politicization in the presidential race, negatively impacting the country.

Though Graham is optimistic that Trump will be on the ballot in Colorado and may even win the primary, the court's decision has raised a warning flag about the potential pitfalls of excessive focus on the past, which could jeopardize future success. Graham warns against over-politicization, emphasizing the potential harm it could inflict on the nation.

With these recent developments, strategic management and fostering a positive vision for the future become more critical than ever for Donald Trump if he aims to regain voter support in the upcoming 2024 election.
